Weeding out the problem!
Having come from a background in rural agriculture, I have taken that weed management knowledge and applied it to residential landscaping and gardening.
The case study below of Marion Koh and her family is a demonstration of how a good weed eradication and maintenance program can change a garden from a shunned, messy, unusable space into a much-loved area that positively impacts your life and that of your family.
For Marion’s garden our plan involved the use of a pre-emergent to target the weeds before they germinate, this not only avoided the need for regular use of harsh weed-killing chemicals but also saved us back-breaking weeding work and most importantly has produced a usable, beautiful and low-maintenance garden.
While the pre-emergent doesn’t control nut grass, through careful, well-planned management we can help you get that under control too.
A major weed problem like Marion’s does require a long-term plan. For the first 12 months we visited her garden every six to eight weeks, now two years on, that’s reduced to every three-to-four months with pre-emergent application every five months.
